So August marks Lust Have It’s birthday and
to celebrate this the bag was packed with all full sized products worth $82.75.
Not bad for a beauty subscription that is $19.95 a month. Not only are all
these products full sized but they are all cruelty free and some are even
vegan. I received this parcel today on September 3rd, so it is a few
days late but that isn’t too bad considering their history of terrible
lateness. So lets have a look see at what was included:
Red Carpet Kolour Body Glow in Light
When I first put a small pump of this on my
arm I wasn’t that impressed, it just looked like a body shimmer. Then I decided
I would actually follow the instructions and I gave it a good shake, applied I
all over my arms and waited five minutes for it to dry. After the five minutes was up my mind was totally changed about it, my skin was glowing, shimmering and it
had added a slight hint of tan. I looked just the perfect amount of sun kissed. It comes in a pump (which refused to show up in photos for some reason) so it is super easy to control how much you use. Created by makeup artist Joanna Schlip, everyone from Denise Richards to
Christina Applegate and the Playboy makeup artists use this to create a healthy
glow that’s fragrance free, noncomedogenic, hypoallergenic and paraben free.
It’s also not tested on animals and free from any animal derived ingredients.
I’m really really impressed by this and will definitely use it all through the
summer and as I’m not the biggest fan of fake tan it’s a really great
alternative. Vegan. Cruelty Free. Full Size $49.95
Reed Orange and Poppy Seed Scrub
I’m not the biggest fan of sugar scrubs
because I find them a bit too harsh on my skin and find coffee to be a better
alternative even if it is messier. With that in mind I’m really looking forward
to using this, as I love anything orange scented. The scrub is 100% natural so
there is no artificial colours, fragrances or preservatives. It is also from
palm oil, soybean oil; grain derived oil and animal testing. I’m hoping this
scrub will change my mind about sugar scrubs because it sounds and smells amazing.
On their website they also stock a lot of vegan products including washing
powders! Cruelty Free. Vegan. Full Size. $7.95
Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Plum
I am SO obsessed with the colour of this
eyeshadow. It is the most gorgeous metallic plum colour that is just so rich
and beautiful and is also paraben and cruelty free. The company claims that
this shadow is highly pigmented and it is at first. When you swatch it on your
arm it is STUNNING but then I placed my arm on my leg and the shadow disappeared
and there was only a slight mark left where I originally applied it and all
that beautiful metallic goodness was gone. But then I applied it all over my
lids when I was doing my makeup this morning and it is so pigmented and applies
like a dream. It is so easy to blend and the colour is so beautiful and doesn’t
budge once applied. So it sticks great to makeup but not to bare skin, so make
sure when you use this you always have a primer/concealer/foundation underneath
as a base to make it last. Full Size. $9.50. Cruelty Free.
Mellow Cosmetics Mineral Auto Twist Liner
in Black
I really didn’t like this. Swatching it on
the back of my hand I was so glad I didn’t put this anywhere near my eyes. It
is so harsh and scratches at your skin. While they started off well with it
being in a twist tube and being free from parabens, skin irritants, animal
testing and being made with minerals, the product itself is just not good. It
isn’t that beautiful intense black that you want with eyeliner and it just
doesn’t apply well. Full Size $8. Cruelty Free.
Ulta3 Volume & Length Mascara
At first glance, this is an obvious physical
dupe of the Covergirl mascaras. But once applied to the lashes, you’ll never
want to use Covergirl again. I wasn’t expecting great things with this as I
find mascaras under $10 to be clumpy and drying. I was actually gob smacked
when I applied this because it goes on without a single clump and leaves lashes
beautifully separated, elongated and black. The curved brush is quite thick so it would be hard to apply the mascara to the bottom lashes, but i'm okay with that because I don't like bottom lash mascara. It is just so good, I can’t
believe it. I never would have gone into a store and brought it, so I’m so glad
I got this in a beauty box. If you’re looking for super dramatic nighttime
lashes then this mascara isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for mascara that
will leave your eyelashes looking natural but beautiful, then this is for you.
It is hard to find out the animal testing policies of Ulta3 as their website is
under construction, but there are a few posts on beauty forums where customers
have emailed in asking if they are cruelty free and they have responded that
they are and that even some of their products are vegan. Full
Size. $6.95. Cruelty Free.
