My Everyday Makeup Routine

Base:

Inika Truly Organic Pure Primer
This primer is absolutely beautiful, and as much as I loved my Stila primer, the Inika one has stolen my heart. It's Australian owned and made, contains all natural and organic ingredients, is cruelty free and covers every single pore and other un-pleasantries to create a beautiful even base to make foundation last for more than 12 hours. I've also found this primer doesn't make me break out, and when applied leaves my skin feeling fresh and not too heavy. This primer is an absolute winner.

Maybelline Coverstick Concealer in Green
I use this to cover any redness and pigmentation on my face. So a tiny bit around the nose and a little bit on my cheeks and it counteracts any discolouration and provides an even skin tone to blend foundation.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 in 1N2 ECRU
Holy grail foundation. The only issue with this is that I wish they made more shades. My lovely Uni friend Elle who works at Estee Lauder originally got me into this foundation and this was the shade she gave me at first. I thought it was beautiful, but a tiny bit dark, so I went for the next shade down which was Cool Bone. The issue with that shade was that it was a bit too warm for my face and oxidised really badly to a terrible orange colour by the end of the day. So I went back to using ECRU, and even though it's still a tiny bit too dark, as long as you blend it down your next to avoid the face mask look, it isn’t that bad. It is really hard to find foundations for pale skin that provide amazing coverage and all day staying power, and this foundation ticks all the boxes for staying power and coverage that I’m willing to let the slight darkness of the shade slide.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Fair
This is forever going to live in my makeup bag because it is by far the best under eye concealer I’ve ever used. It's light, blends like a dream and doesn't crease. I don't apply it just on dark circles, but all the way down to the bottom of the orbit (eye socket). I find applying it this way makes it look a lot more natural.

Eyes:

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Metal by Eye Studio in 70 Barely Branded
I use this beautiful champagne cream shadow all over my eyelid and blend it all the way up to my brow bone. Its a great neutral colour, provides a fantastic base to blend other colours into and can also be used just on its own.

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in 25 Bad to the Bronze
Once I’ve blended Barely Branded from my lash line to my brown bone, I then take this beautiful bronze colour and smudge it in the crease and along the outer half of the lash line to give it a bit of definition and colour.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black
If you struggle with liquid lining your lash line, this little gem in a pen is your solution. A felt tip application pen makes it easier to just rest on your lash line and simply drag it along to create an easy peasy line. The only issue with felt tip lines are that the tips start to get soft after some time, and while they are still great to line the lash line, without that firmness it makes it hard to create a really sharp cat eye. So because of this, it's always great to have just an average liquid liner pen as well.

MaxFactor Colour X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner in 01 Deep Black
And this ladies and gentlemen is my liquid pen of choice to create that sharp cat eye flick. The formula of the MaxFactor eyeliner is so glossy and wet so be careful not to open it upside down because I have and it leaves you with a whole lot of ink on your bathroom floor. When I first got this pen, it was originally to replace my Stila one because I was sick of the felt tip going soft, but when I applied this to my lash line, as amazing as it looked, the formula is just way too runny and it runs into your lash line and clumps at the bottom. So when you go to apply your mascara it just ends up a clumpy mess, and even when I used a really small amount this still happened. So while the Stila and MaxFactor liners do have their faults, they actually counteract and create a powerhouse eyeliner duo that work incredibly well together.

ModelCo Fat Lash Mascara
Love this Australian, cruelty free mascara. This is a ripper of a dupe for Benefits 'They're Real!', to the point that they are almost identical. The brush is a bit thicker than Benefits but it is the same style and shape, and I find the bigger brush helps to create even fuller doll like lashes. If I had to pick out of the two, I would always prefer the ModelCo one to Benefits.

Eyebrows:

Urban Decay Naked Basics
At the moment I am only using this to fill in my eyebrows because I’m trying to use up all my Colour Tattoos so I can use this as my only all purpose palette. I use the shade 'Faint' to fill in my brows because it's the perfect shade for girls with brown/blonde hair. Lips:

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in 910 Shocking Coral
Last week I worked a double shift at the bar, which saw me there from the morning to late at night. During that time I didn't reapply my makeup once, just gave it a quick spritz with some Mac Fix+ spray to keep it lasting and off I went. I didn't reapply my lipstick once and in that time I’d eaten a few meals and drunk a few pints of water. At about 9pm at night a woman I worked with commented on my lipstick saying how gorgeous it was and that she loved the colour, and to be completely honest I had forgotten I was even wearing lipstick, let alone that the one I applied 12 hours earlier was not only still on, but still had its vibrant colour. One quick and small application in the morning lasted me over 12 hours! That's incredible. This is by far the most long lasting lipstick I’ve used that doesn't dry out. It's absolutely incredible, and the bright orange pink colour is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend this little dynamite of a product.

Cheeks:

Benefit Dandelion Blush

I've hit some serious pan on this blush but I’m still getting so many more uses out of this with the tiny amounts of product in the corners. This is a universally flattering pink blush that I’ve never seen look bad on anyone. Its light and has a tiny amount of sparkle in it to give you that glow without looking over done. An essential in any makeup bag.

Tools:

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I use this as a stippling brush to apply my foundation. It applies evenly and creates a marvellous base without budging the concealer underneath.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
I use this to apply my blush because the bristles are hard enough to pick up a decent amount of product, but soft enough to apply the blush without disturbing foundation. I recently picked up the Real Techniques Blush Brush so it will be interesting to see how it compares to the application of the buffing brush.

Eco Tools Foundation Brush
I know this is a foundation brush but to me it is actually the worlds best concealer brush. I use it to gently pat in my under eye concealer or to apply the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer on my face. It's an alright foundation brush but an out of this world amazingness concealer brush.

Eco Tools Angled Eyeliner Brush
The tiny angled brush hairs make this the perfect to fill in my eyebrows and give those blonde hairs some colour.

Manicare Mascara Brush
Like all my other brushes, I don't use this for its original purpose, but instead use it to brush out my brows before and after applying product. For only a couple of dollars from Priceline, it's an absolute steal as well.
